It wasn't just a romance novel—there were so many layers to both Neevah and Cannon, and even the side characters felt fully developed. Every character came across as real and authentic. The chemistry between the leads was incredible, but what truly reeled me in (pun intended) was the depth of Neevah and Cannon as individuals.
Kennedy Ryan has a way of writing stories that are not just about love, but about the things we carry into love — our wounds, our fears, our past experiences, and the ways we learn to heal. Score was a really good read for me, and one of the things I appreciated most was the way Kennedy incorporated mental health into the story.
Curvy Girl Summer by Danielle Allen was such an enjoyable and refreshing read. At the center of this story is Aaliyah — a woman who embodies confidence, self-respect, and knowing her worth. I loved that she didn’t allow her size to define her or limit the way she moved through the world. She knew exactly who she was, and more importantly, she knew what she deserved.
The second book in the Curvy Girl series did NOT disappoint! Once again, Danielle Allen gives us a story centered around a confident, bold, and brave woman who knows exactly who she is.
Big Girl Blitz was the perfect ending to the Curve series. Chef’s kiss! 👏🏾 This book had everything I loved about the series — a beautiful love story, complex characters, emotional depth, and reminders about what it means to truly live and love yourself.
